Review:

Beginning his career in television westerns, Clint Eastwood shot to stardom with his appearance as The Man with No Name (later to be revealed as “Blondie”) in Sergio Leone’s “Dollars trilogy”. Despite obvious limitations in his range and depth, he more than compensated for it by consistently showing bravery in his choice of roles. In a wry reference to that trait, he named his production company Malpaso Productions because many people in Hollywood warned him that going to Europe to make the “Spaghetti Western” trilogy was a “bad move”. Known for his deadpan delivery of lines and affecting his characters with a trademark expression, he has showed a preference for playing characters with dark, mysterious, or traumatic pasts.
